What can I expect during my treatment?
One of our nurse injectors will discuss your concerns and expectations prior to beginning your treatment. Pictures will be taken to record your treatment specifics and monitor your results. Your face will be marked with a wax pencil for injection sites. We use very small needles and the procedure is relatively painless. The process takes between 15-30 minutes, and you can return to work or attend any social event within an hour.
Do cosmetic injections hurt?
We use a very small needle; pain is minimal and brief.
How long does the typical appointment take?
Depending on how many areas you are addressing, treatments take between 15-30 minutes.
Is there any downtime or recovery time?
Generally, no. You may have some slight initial swelling, but it should subside within 15 minutes.

Neurotoxins usually work within 3 to 4 days but can take up to 2 weeks to see their full effect.

Will I look natural?
When Botox or other toxins are properly administered, patients do not lose their ability to show expression. This is a technique-sensitive treatment that requires extensive training and skill and should only be performed by an experienced medical provider. Every new patient will be scheduled for a full aesthetic evaluation to discuss expectations and treatment options. With new patients, we tend to err on the side of caution. Which neurotoxin should I use?
We offer different options to our patients because while each product we carry contains the same active ingredient, they each have specific properties that will allow our staff to give you the best results for you. We will of course, honor requests if you have a favorite, but please allow us to discuss the options with you and help you decide. Our staff is highly trained in all neurotoxins and have enough experience to help you make the right choice.
Can neurotoxins help me with migraines?
Our neurotoxins are FDA-approved for chronic migraines, which means headache on 15 or more days a month. The drug is injected around pain fibers that are involved in headaches. It enters the nerve endings around where it is injected and blocks the release of chemicals involved in pain transmission. This prevents activation of pain networks in the brain. Neurotoxins prevent migraine headaches before they start, but takes time to work. Patients generally see increasing benefits with multiple treatment cycles. One treatment lasts for 10-12 weeks, and patients reported that two treatments reduced the number of headache days by approximately 50%. It can take up to six months to see maximum benefits. In the meantime, you can continue your regular medications with no risk of a drug interaction. This treatment is approved for patients 18 and older.

Can neurotoxins help me with excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)?
Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is a common disorder which affects an estimated 2%-3% of Americans. Excessive sweating of the underarms (axillary hyperhidrosis) or of the palms and soles of the feet (palmoplantar hyperhidrosis) can be due to an underlying health condition, or have no apparent cause. Our neurotoxins are effective for treating excessive sweating of the underarms, palms of the hands and soles of the feet. This works by preventing the release of a chemical that signals the sweat glands to activate. You may need to have several injections, but the results can last for almost a year.
